Climbing at Vikos Gorge

As mentioned in the previous post, going to the Vikos Gorge was an attempt to climb for the first time in Greece.

At the The crag website we found this place called Tower of kokori. Beautiful place, few routes, but a super tourist place.

As you can see in the website there are a few routes graded 7a in average.

Even if the place was beautiful and the routes seems very interesting, I didn’t feel like climbing there. We arrived around 3 and the place was full of tourists hanging around. We decided to try another sector.

The other sector is called Tower of Mykitas, the access is fairly easy, 20 min walking downhill but the crag seems not be very popular, at least at this time of the year (March). We didn’t find anyone around.

After the first accent, the rain started so I had the time just to go up once more and the climb day was over.

Now we are heading to Meteora that seems to be a known rock climbing area. Let’s hope to have good weather for the weekend.
